What's Happening in Cocoa Beach!

On the City of Cocoa Beach website there are dynamic Information Boxes that are kept up to date with important information for residents and visitors. The first box takes you directly to Agendas, Minutes , and Webcasts, the second gives you up to date information on the Reclaim Water schedule- whether it's on restriction or off, a video of beautiful Cocoa Beach, and the latest updates on the Minutemen Streetscape Progress. These boxes rotate or you can use the arrow and rotate them yourself. Additionally, the website was designed with residents in mind- the first tab is "How do I?" from this tab a drop down menu gives you shortcuts to Budgets, Cocoa Beach history, paying parking tickets, get special events permits, garage sale permits, sewer credits, employment opportunities, report gas leaks and street light outages, and much, much more! See screen shot below. Please come and explore your City of Cocoa Beach website!

Art in Downtown!

There is a pilot program starting on providing local art! The "canvas" being used are the planters! Right now they are all plain brown large planters but as you can see below they are being transformed into beautiful pieces of art!
Because we want these pieces to last we are experimenting with finishes to insure they hold up to pedestrian traffic. SO for the time being only three planters are being transformed!
Also- local downtown businesses if you could water the planters outside your business the City would really appreciate it! Thank you in advance!

If you are a local artist and you would like to paint a planter please contact City Hall.

Minutemen Streetscape

The streetscape project is moving on! There is signage up to direct customers to the local businesses that are being directly impacted. There has been a change in the construction schedule (please check the website under Minutemen Streetscape Update). The change is reversing Block 4 and Block 5. This change allows the City to continue to host and hold (with the SAME layout!) the 54th Annual Art Show in downtown Cocoa Beach! Although the name has changed to Cocoa Beach Art Show it is still the BEST darn Art Show in Brevard County and the tradition continues!! Thank you to all the Cocoa Beach Art Show volunteers who make the Show possible!

Please patronage the businesses that are directly impacted by the construction!!
Casablanca, Hair Biz, The Fat Donkey, The Tiny Turtle, Wahoo Coffee, Coastal Produce, Rick Piper's Art Studio, Minutemen Market, Island Animal Hospital, Allan White's Surfboards, The Beachside Resident Corporate Office and the Shops in the Baliwick Center.
