Hurricane Alert


We hope you all made it through the hurricane safely. Now the clean up begins.
City Staff is out in force clearing the streets. If a tree from your yard is blocking the road City Staff will move it off but is not able to go on private property to cut or remove the downed tree. There are two disaster companies that are working with the City. One will pick up and one will monitor the clean up.  
Please follow the FEMA guidelines below to expedite clean up. DO NOT BLOCK ROADWAY WITH DEBRIS.
Separate your debris as follows:
Large Appliances
Hazardous waste
Vegetative debris
Construction debris
Household garbage

The collection company hired by the city will send different trucks for different items so sorting is very important.


Police Officers are directing traffic at signals that are out. However, if you come to a non-working traffic light treat it as a 4-way stop. 

FPL is working to get the power back on. You will see many "Pike" trucks throughout the City they are working with FPL to get the power on. 

Publix and Walgreens are open. There are some restaurants open.

Please be safe clearing debris.
