The City of Cocoa Beach holds elections on even years, on the first Tuesday, after the first Monday in November.

An election is scheduled for November 8, 2022.  The following Seats are up for election: 
- Commissioner Seat 2 (currently filled by Commissioner Martinez who has resigned effective November 8, 2022) a 2-year term, and
- Commissioner Seat 4 (currently filled by Vice-Mayor Williams) a 4-year term, and
- Commissioner Seat 5 (currently filled by Commissioner Miller) a 4-year term.

Please note, City Charter Section 2.01 states: Term limits. No commissioner shall serve more than two (2) consecutive four (4) year terms. A break in service of a minimum of one (1) year after a commissioner has served two (2) consecutive four (4) year terms allows a former commissioner to run for election and upon election to serve up to two (2) consecutive four (4) year terms. Service for two (2) or more years of any one term shall constitute a full term. This limitation shall only apply to commission terms commencing November 8, 2016, for Seats 1, 2 and 3, and November 6, 2018, for Seats 4, and 5, and terms thereafter.
Seat 2: Candidates filling the unfinished term for Seat 2 vacated by Commissioner Martinez, would serve a two year term.  Per the Charter, service for two or more years of any term constitutes serving a full term.
Seat 4: Should Vice-Mayor Williams (Seat 4) select to run, he has one more term.
Seat 5: Should Commissioner Miller (Seat 5) select to run, he has one more term.
