Details: The City of Cocoa Beach is partnering with Surfrider and Beach Bucket Foundation to install 14 new beach clean up stations at all beach accesses from 1st s to 14th st s. Volunteers should meet at 1st st s beach access at 9am for the ribbon cutting by Mayor Malik, followed by a beach clean up. Beach clean up supplies will be provided. What to bring: Reusable water bottle, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, student volunteer forms if you need them signed. This is a family friendly event, all are welcome. Annual Sea Oat Planting
When: Saturday February 18th, 2023
Meeting Location: Shepard Park
Details: Join us for the annual sea oat planting and beach clean up! Volunteers should meet at Shepard Park at 9am to receive instructions and sea oat planting tutorial from the site captain. All planting tools and materials will be provided, but volunteers may bring their own shovel, post hole digger, trowel, etc. if they wish. Beach clean up supplies will also be provided. Please help us make this a zero waste event! Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle and cup for coffee. Large jugs of coffee and water will be provided. This is a family friendly event, all are welcome.
