Looking for a fun way to entertain the kids during Winter Break? The Studios of Cocoa Beach is hosting an “Art and Yoga Camp” with Glaucia Romano from 9 am to noon the week of December 26 to 30, 2022. Each day will start with a yoga lesson where kids will learn basic yoga poses, breathing techniques, and mindful meditation. Glaucia follows the KAY method of yoga, which incorporates music, dance, story-telling, and games to make it appeal to the little ones. Then, we will create artwork inspired by the season using different media and open-ended themes. The art-making focuses on process over product, so students learn not only artistic skills but important traits such as perseverance, curiosity, creativity, and how to deal with frustrations. Fee for the week is $120. Campers should bring a water bottle and a snack and a yoga mat if they have one.
