Unlike some printing methods that allow you to print multiple copies using one screen or plate, a monoprint is, as the name suggests, a "one of a kind" artwork that can only be printed once. “Gell”i is a well-known brand that creates (non-animal derived) gelatin-based plates used to make monoprints by stenciling,layering, and other almost "magical" techniques to create amazing artworks. The class will allow you to explore Gelli plates, brayers, and a multitude of materials to create fun and expressive artwork! Once you have the basics, you can use Gelli Plates to create abstract artwork, journal pages, greeting cards (Valentines Day is around the corner!), printed fabric, and much more.
