2023 Citizen's Academy

Applications are now being accepted for the 2023 Citizen's Academy, which begins on January 17, 2023.

The Citizen’s Academy is a look into the internal values, philosophy and operations of the City of Cocoa Beach Government, and is designed for City residents and merchants.

Classes run for fourteen (14) weeks on Tuesday evening,

one (1) session a week for approximately three (3) hours each, and
one (1) Saturday session.
Participants will gain knowledge and insight of each department through discussions, demonstrations and site visits to include a variety of topics and issues that pertain to the City of Cocoa Beach.

Interested applicants must submit completed application using the link provided below IN PERSON to the Cocoa Beach Police Department, 85 S. Orlando Ave., Police Records Division, no later than October 14, 2022.

Once the class has been filled, applications will no longer be accepted.

Citizen’s Academy is hosted by the Cocoa Beach Police Department.
