2023 Citizen's Academy Announced

Applications are now being accepted for the 2023 Citizen's Academy, which begins on January 17, 2023.

What to Expect

The Citizen’s Academy is a look into the internal values, philosophy and operations of the City of Cocoa Beach Government, and is designed for City residents and merchants.
Citizen Academy runs for fourteen (14) weeks on Tuesday evenings

One (1) session a week for approximately three (3) hours each
One (1) Saturday session.

Participants will gain knowledge and insight of each department through discussions, demonstrations and site visits to include a variety of topics and issues that pertain to the City of Cocoa Beach.

How to Apply

Interested applicants must submit completed application IN PERSON, no later than October 14, 2022, to:

Once the class has been filled, applications will no longer be accepted.
Citizen’s Academy is hosted by the Cocoa Beach Police Department.

Tennis Facility Updates

The shade structure for the tennis facility are expected early next week. Once installed repairs will resume.
Due to manufacturer shipping delays the contactors and fuse for the lights repair are expected to arrive in early October.
Due to these changes, projected completion date is now late October.

Fee Changes

On October 1, 2022 the cost of parking fees are changing to $5 for the first hour and $3.50 for each additional hour.

Parking pass rates will remain the same.
