Hurricane Idalia

Brevard County is now under a Tropical Storm Warning. Please be aware and ready for any sudden changes. The time to finalize preparation is now. Brevard Emergency of Operations noted yesterday that this will be a "wind" storm for Brevard County. 

This is the time to pick up loose debris, and unsecured items.

Cocoa Beach Country Club

Due to Hurricane Idalia and the conditions it will bring to the area, Cocoa Beach Golf Course, 19th Hole, and the Aquatic Center will be closing at 2:00pm on Tuesday August 29th.

Today, August 29th, the last tee time for 18 holes will be 10:00am and for 9 holes it will be 12:00pm

All facilities will be closed for the day on August 30th.

Golf Course Closure

Waste Management

Waste Management has engaged their Hurricane Preparedness Protocol. They are currently watching the storm closely. As of 8/28/23 at 8:30 pm, there were no foreseeable changes to services regarding their regular operations. 

If any changes do occur with Waste Management or Brevard County Landfill and transfer stations, another notification will be sent out.

Sand Bag Distribution

The City Has acquired sand for sandbag distribution. The sand is located in the east parking lot of the Cocoa Beach Country Club. You will need to bring bags, shovels, and help if you are unable to lift.
