What is the Future of Cocoa Beach’s Height Limit?
By the time you read this, it’s anticipated that the most recent “building height variance” request will be on the agenda for the July 7th, 2016 Cocoa Beach Commission meeting. Please attend if you choose.
On Saturday, July 9th, 2016 at 10:00am, we will have more discussion at a Community Meeting at the Cocoa Beach Public Library, directly related to the subject “What is the Future of Cocoa Beach’s Height Limit?”.
The agenda will be as follows:
Introduction and presentation of the subject – Commissioner Skip Williams
Next, a panel discussion planned to include:
An English Teacher from the Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School system and Commissioner Skip Williams.
Then, an opportunity for position statements from currently declared City Commission candidates, exclusive of sitting commissioner candidates due to Florida Sunshine law limitations.

This Community Meeting is not a City sponsored event. Commissioner Malik, Commissioner Martinez, Vice Mayor Miller and Mayor Tumulty may not attend this Community Meeting unless a Sunshine Compliant Meeting is called by the City Manager or City Commission under the City of Cocoa Beach Commission Policies and Procedures. A Sunshine compliant Meeting requires notice, written minutes, public comment and appropriate Staff.
