CBNN LETTER HEAD

Lifeguards are on the Beach!

Ensuring the safety of everyone enjoying our beautiful beaches is our top priority here in Cocoa Beach.

Starting March 23, 2024, the following beach locations will be staffed with a dedicated lifeguard from the Brevard County Lifeguard Core daily 10 am - 5 pm :

  • Central Shepard Park
  •  Lori Wilson Park
  • South of the Pier
  • Minutemen Causeway

With the presence of trained professionals, we aim to enhance the safety measures along our coastline, providing peace of mind for all who visit.

However, we also remind everyone to take personal precautions when swimming in the ocean and to adhere to the flag warnings displayed:

  • Green Flag: Low Hazard - Calm Conditions, Exercise Caution \
  • Yellow Flag: Medium Hazard - Moderate Surf/Currents, Caution Advised
  • Red Flag: High Hazard - High Surf/Strong Currents, Dangerous Swimming Conditions
  • Double Red Flag: Water Closed to Public - High Risk, Stay Out of Water

Your safety is paramount, so please respect these guidelines and lifeguards' instructions on duty.

Enjoy your time at the beach responsibly!
