Tropical Storm Milton

The City of Cocoa Beach continues to monitor and work closely with the Brevard County Emergency Operations Center regarding Tropical Storm Milton.

The latest forecast for Milton, expected to be a hurricane as it crosses Central Florida and Brevard County mid-week, anticipates chances for potential flooding, with 6-8 inches of rain through Thursday, with some areas getting as much as 10 inches-plus of cumulative rainfall, along with hurricane-force winds.

The city has some sand on the East Side of the Cocoa Beach Country Club. 

You will need: 

• Sandbags - available at most hardware stores
• Shovels
• & someone to assist 

The city will continue to monitor the storm and provide updates as they become available.
