Has anyone spotted Santa around town yet? We're pretty sure he's already here - you can feel the Christmas cheer in the air. Rumor has it he's picking out just the right board, suiting up, and getting ready for the most festive surf of the year.

December 24 - Surfing Santas and Surfin' Mingle

Cocoa Beach Pro Tip: Catch a wave with Santa, when else can you say you surfed the the big guy?

The Santas are just about ready to ride the waves, and the elves will be taking to downtown Cocoa Beach to enjoy the local eats and shops. Now's the time to get your plans set for the jolly event.

Traffic Alert (FDOT):

Expect heavier traffic around downtown and the beach on event day. Plan to arrive early, carpool if you can, and check the Surfing Santas Facebook page for shuttle info.

Starting at 5 AM left lane closures are in place on A1A to support shuttle operations:

Northbound: From N A1A prior to 4th S Street to Sidney Fischer Park
Southbound: From N Atlantic Ave prior to Sidney Fischer Park onto S Orlando Ave past 1st N Street

Some things to know

City Administrative Office Closures

City administrative offices will be closed for non-emergency services on the following dates:

Tuesday, December 24 (Christmas Eve)
Wednesday, December 25 (Christmas Day)

Offices reopen for normal business hours on Thursday, December 26

Waste Management

There will be no solid waste, recycling, or yard waste collection on Thursday, December 25th, in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Thursday residential garbage will be collected on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Thursday residential recycling & yard waste will be collected on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
