New Crime Break Header

In the past several weeks, the Cocoa Beach Police Department has responded to calls for service regarding condominium burglaries in the areas of S. Banana River Blvd. and Ocean Beach Blvd.  Up until most recently, these incidents involved unoccupied condos, 2nd floor and above, either via the front door or rear slider.

Early Thursday morning, January 5, at about 2:00 A.M., officers responded to Ocean Beach Condos, 3800 Ocean Beach Blvd. and Conquistador (east), 4100 Ocean Beach Blvd. regarding occupied burglaries to a unit on the fourth floor at each location.  Point of entry is believed to be the rear slider and a suspect description is very vague at this time.

These incidents are not isolated to Cocoa Beach.  Detectives are working with our law enforcement partners in surrounding jurisdictions and are diligently investigating all possible leads.  Proactive patrol measures have been implemented.  We are asking the community to be vigilant, secure windows and doors, and notify the police department (321-868-3251) of any suspicious activity in your neighborhoods.
