Sheriff's Office Announces Sandbag Distribution Locations, Starting Wednesday

BREVARD COUNTY, FL. -- The Brevard County Sheriff's Office will distribute sandbags at no cost to residents starting Wednesday at four locations throughout Brevard County.

In an effort to expedite the process, inmate labor will be used to fill and load sandbags directly into citizen’s vehicles. This will be conducted under the supervision and direction of Sheriff’s Office employees. Each vehicle can obtain up to 10 free sandbags for use in preparing homes and businesses for potential flooding.

The four locations will be open for distribution from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Distribution will continue during those same hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, or until supplies are gone.
