HOUSING DISASTER ASSISTANCE

Please be aware that FEMA’s Disaster Survivor Assistance (DSA) teams will be out in our community starting today. They are going to begin by reaching out to the areas which were hardest hit by the tornadoes, and then look at the homes which were assessed at destroyed or major. The goal of these teams will be to assist folks with registering for FEMA assistance and answering questions that they may have. We will also have a variety of volunteer groups (Team Rubicon, Latter Day Saints, Salvation Army, United Way, Chainsaw Gangs, etc.) out in the community today, organized by United Way and the Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD).
