Coffee with the City Manager. This quarter the meeting will be:

Dogs on beach effective
JULY 15

City of Cocoa Beach Ordinance No. 1620 goes into effect July 15, 2018. Prior to July 15 it is illegal to have dogs on the beach, unless they are service dogs. Summary of the ordinance is as follows:

Dog on 6 ft. leash at all times.
4th Street South to north side of Murkshe Park (only location dogs are allowed).
Allowable times for dogs to be on the beach are 6:00am-10:00am and 5:00pm-7:00pm during standard time, 9:00pm during daylight savings time.
Owners must clean up after their dog.

Although it is not in the Ordinance please keep dogs off dunes and away from turtle nests.

Permits

Beginning July 1, 2018 the building plan review fee will be due upon the acceptance of the building permit application by Development Services. The plan review fee is 50% of the permit fee.

Hurricane Preparedness

Be prepared for hurricane season– brochures are available at City Hall, library, fire station, pool and Cocoa Beach Main Street office. Be sure to have a plan!

FIREWORKS- JULY 5

Fireworks will be at Fischer Park on July 5, 2018, planned to start at 9:00pm. There will be no beach access through the park. However, Lori Wilson Park is a great place to park and view the fireworks.
Please protect and respect the dunes by staying out of them during this event.
There will be no City Commission meeting July 5, 2018.
