Vice Mayor Williams

Commissioner's Corner: Vice Mayor Skip Williams

All of us should be able to think of something to be thankful for as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday. Some of us, due to health, family or financial concerns, may be thankful just to make it through another day. Some of us may be thankful for a stable or fairly promising outlook for our future. And some of us can look back and be thankful for a lot of good years with family and friends.
We can be thankful our city has great Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel. We can be thankful for our great city staff and workers who maintain our infrastructure, recreational facilities, parks, beaches and those who run the administrative business every day.
We can be thankful our city overall has the potential to continually improve in the future. We can continue to do our part to aid in the restoration of our lagoon’s health by implementing current and future plans for additional stormwater improvements. We can continue to work with our Patrick Air Force Base partners to eliminate contaminates that enter our sewer system and end up in our reclaimed water supply.
We can be thankful our residents and businesses actively bring new ideas to our attention for implementation consideration. Our Commission meetings all have opportunities for public comments and your commissioners all have email links and addresses posted on the city website. Please feel free to contact each or all of us on any subject.
I’m thankful for the honor and opportunity to continue serving as your commissioner and hope you have a great holiday season, Skip. (Email skip.williams@cityofcocoabeach.com , my home phone is 321-783-1850).
