What to Expect:
- The planned improvements will include new stormwater inlets, stormwater pipes, three (3) floating vegetation islands, a side bank filter, relocating palm trees, and parking lot reconstruction.
- The new stormwater system will be directed into the adjacent stormwater pond to be treated before entering the Banana River Lagoon. The addition of the floating vegetation islands and side bank filter increase the treatment process to remove more nitrogen and phosphorus.
- The calculated nitrogen removal is 42.1 lbs. per year and phosphorus removal is 8.9 lbs. per year.
