No. All fireworks are prohibited on the beach and in public parks. Only fireworks that are approved by the State Fire Marshal are permitted on private property.

When we get a 911 medical call the Fire Department responds with a fire truck that has Paramedic firefighters on it. We are able to initiate advanced medical care and then the ambulance will arrive to transport the patient to the hospital. In emergencies it often takes multiple people to take care of the patient.

Our Department does 24hour shifts. We have 3 shifts, A, B, C that rotate 24 hours on from 8am to 8am the next morning then the next shift takes over. They rotate year round for coverage 24/7.

Firefighters do 24 hour shifts. It is common for them to stop on the way back from a 911 call and pick up food so they can cook dinner as a shift. They are usually centrally located at the store and ready to respond if another call comes in.
